About The Position

Overview: Now hiring Ice Technicians with ice maintenance experience. FLSA Status: Full-time/Non-Exempt, Eligible for Benefits Package & PTO Schedule: Evenings and Weekends required; Minimum average of 35 hours/week, up to 40 hours/week Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Essential Responsibilities: • Give 110% effort towards Customer Service at all times; this includes maintaining the safest, cleanest, and most operationally efficient facility to provide outstanding guest experiences. • Responsible for resurfacing the ice using the Zamboni; must properly train to operate heavy machinery. Mandatory logs to be completed for Ice Cuts and affiliated equipment. • Perform ice maintenance on a continuous basis and during time gaps: perform full rink edge, edge/shave corners, build ice depths depending on rink conditions; clean glass, player’s benches, penalty boxes, coaches board, and decals. • Enforce all rules, regulations, and policies of the Ice Den, both verbally and leading by example. • Must always wear facility radio, using it responsibly and professionally to communicate with coworkers and other departments. • Maintain high standards for overall facility cleanliness and appearance by surveying buildings, outside perimeters and locker rooms for trash, sweeping floors, and keeping lobby furniture in order. Ability to work in a cold environment. • Specific tasks for maintenance include but are not limited to taking trash to outdoor garbage, mopping floors, cleaning bathroom and affiliated amenities, cleaning locker rooms. • Assist with tracking inventory and reporting shortages/needed replacements of operations equipment/supplies, as necessary, to Manager. • Maintain clear and consistent communication with fellow ice technicians to coordinate daily tasks, share updates, and ensure efficient rink operations. • Supervise assigned support staff (GSR), providing direction, oversight, and ensuring task completion to standard. • Special and additional tasks assigned by Manager/Director.
