About The Position

The Facility Operations Center (FOC) Network Engineer for our Data Center Campus will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of critical facility infrastructure, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across the data center environment. The role will involve real-time monitoring, alarm management, and incident escalation to maintain optimal performance, minimize downtime, and ensure the security and reliability of the data center's operations. You will serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving network and facility incidents within the campus.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data center operations, facility management, network engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Proven experience working with BMS and EPMS in a data center environment, including the monitoring and management of power, cooling, and HVAC systems.
  • Hands-on experience with incident management, escalation procedures, and troubleshooting in mission-critical environments like data centers.
  • Familiarity with the architecture and functionality of data center infrastructure, including network equipment, servers, power systems, cooling systems, and fire suppression.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex issues under pressure.
  • Attention to detail, especially when monitoring critical systems that support the integrity and uptime of the data center.
  • Strong communication skills for clear incident reporting and collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, handling incidents with professionalism and focus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor BMS/EPMS Systems: Continuously monitor BMS and EPMS for data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and HVAC systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet the facility's uptime requirements.
  • Alarm Management & Escalation: Monitor real-time alarms and events generated by facility management systems, identifying and escalating critical issues related to power, cooling, and environmental controls that may impact data center operations.
  • Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary responder to any network, power, or environmental incidents that may arise within the data center. Diagnose and resolve issues in collaboration with facility engineers, network teams, and third-party vendors, ensuring minimal impact on service availability.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with the Data Center Operations team, electrical engineers, HVAC specialists, and security teams to ensure the facility operates optimally during any incidents.
  • Incident Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all incidents, responses, and resolutions. Provide clear and timely reports for internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency in system performance and incident management.
  • System Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improving the reliability, performance, and efficiency of both facility operations and network systems. Recommend upgrades or process improvements as needed.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
