The incumbent will report to the Office of Emergency Management and support the Montgomery Stockpile. Duties include but are not limited to implementing quality control procedures for the Logistics Centers, observing all established protocols for stockpile maintenance, employment, deployment, transportation coordination and recovery, and implementing the Preventative Maintenance Program for stockpile readiness. The role also involves providing responsive, statewide support during emergency situations requiring stockpile items, assisting in the accountability of all items deployed from the stockpile and returned to the stockpiles, and assisting in the coordination and management of surplus materials. Additional responsibilities include operating Material Handling Equipment, receiving warehouse deliveries, maintaining accountability of warehouse items using the Statewide Financial System (SFS), performing support and administrative duties such as document preparation and scheduling, and preparing and submitting Bills of Lading to the supervisor and receiving agency after issuing warehouse equipment. The incumbent will also support Citizen Preparedness Corps (CPC) events by providing CPC backpack delivery and distribution at scheduled events throughout the State. The position may require responding to warehouse emergencies 24/7 and involves travel up to 10%.
