About The Position
The Facility Operations Assistant 2 position involves operating a variety of self-propelled heavy equipment such as cars, trucks, construction equipment, and riding mowers. The role requires following Vehicle and Traffic Law for the safe and legal operation of assigned equipment, performing routine repair and maintenance work, and using various hand and power tools. The assistant will also be responsible for understanding and following simple oral and written instructions, performing medium to heavy physical labor, and instructing crew members in tasks to be performed. Additionally, the assistant will keep written records of work performed and materials and labor used.
