The Facility Operations Assistant 1 (Grounds, SG-06) is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and operation of facilities at SUNY Purchase College. This includes inspecting and patrolling areas to detect vandalism or safety hazards, setting up equipment for events, performing routine maintenance tasks, and operating various types of equipment. The position requires physical labor, including moving heavy supplies and furniture, and performing general grounds maintenance tasks. The employee may also be assigned to work in different areas of the college and may be required to work overtime, including weekends.
