About The Position

The Facility Operations Application Specialist at Clean Harbors is responsible for monitoring and interpreting data related to waste management systems, ensuring data integrity, and providing user training and support. This role involves problem resolution, database management, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new applications, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of facility operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with a focus on IT, Operations, or Analytics.
  • 5 years of waste monitoring, tracking, and analysis experience.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies (RCRA, EPA, DOT) and regulations for waste tracking.
  • Self-motivated problem solver who can follow protocol, direction, and take initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Computer savvy with WinWeb experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Clean Harbors priorities and plant processes is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in environmental services or hazardous waste management.
  • Familiarity with data management systems and software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Win Web training programs for the Facilities Group personnel.
  • Train employees on Win Web systems via phone and Webex.
  • Cover Service Now for any Win Web issues.
  • Write SOP's or training papers for any new systems releases to the user community.
  • Travel to Facilities to implement new procedures or assist with any problem areas affecting database management.
  • Resolve data issues through Service Now and work with MIS for resolution if necessary.
  • Collaborate with the billing department to resolve any plant issues holding up invoicing.
  • Work closely with E-commerce and Sales reporting department to answer all tracking-related questions.
  • Manage untracked, blanks, missing drums, restriction violations, and manifests greater than thirty days.
  • Assist with month-end waste inventories at all facilities.
  • Assist users with running and interpreting waste management reports.
  • Provide user training and assistance with Cognex scanning devices and all plant applications on the IOS platform.
  • Conduct UAT for all new plant-related applications and regular testing of data fixes, hot fixes, and system enhancements.
  • Participate in company acquisitions, which may involve travel, and aid in new site setup in WinWeb.
