About The Position

The Facility Manager is responsible for all facility-related operations including the administrative and technical aspects of the maintenance and custodial departments for a 200-bed men’s homeless shelter. This role will also ensure proper purchasing and inventory control procedures for the entire facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Associates degree preferred, High School Diploma required
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in Facility Management and/or Building Maintenance required.
• Candidates should have supervisory experience and experience managing work crews.
• The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks and work unsupervised.
• This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as some computer skills.
• Candidates must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule, supervise and evaluate all maintenance and custodial staff.
• Conduct regular full building inspections (interior, exterior, and grounds) and take corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate regular floor inspections.
• Prepare scope of service and job specifications.
• Oversee facility purchases and contracts and ensure verification of invoices for proper billing.
• Repair or secure arrangements for the repairs of all appropriate items / areas as needed.
• Develop and implement facility plan to accomplish work both on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Conduct fire drills with security to ensure a safe, swift exit.
• Perform all related duties as assigned.
