ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Oversee Facility staff, including Maintenance supervisor & maintenance team, salaried facility engineer, and other staff as necessary. Ensure proper certification for all Maintenance staff. Recommend facility improvements & upgrades – bathrooms, lighting, offices, conference rooms, common areas, exterior areas, and others. Manage exterior of the facility – snow removal, parking lot maintenance, lawn care, etc. Work with the city & other governmental agencies on development initiatives. Responsible for facility capital project requests, procurement of assets, project management, and departmental budgets. Document & maintain facility processes & critical facility infrastructure – fire suppression & monitoring, security alarm system, water, gas, compressed air, etc. Manage & Maintain concessions / vending machines & related programs. Manage & control HVAC temperatures, modes, programming, etc. throughout the facility. Negotiate & manage contracts with outside service providers – snow removal, lawn care, HVAC, general construction & repair contractors, plumbing, janitorial, waste management, and others. Develop & maintain supply chain for facility related consumables – paper products, kitchen & concession supplies, etc. Respond to & action security system calls. Work directly with operations leadership team to support manufacturing updates & improvements, new equipment installs, and facility moves. Ensure a clean, safe work environment for all employees. Work directly with the safety department to install & maintain safety improvements. Working with other local leaders and external IT support, maintain & manage the facility camera system. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building & Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or other closely related field.
  • 10+ years of related experience, with at least five years managing a complex facility and both hourly & professional staff.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities at once.
  • Excellent cross functional communicator, who is skilled at communicating across all levels of the organization, and with external vendors / contractors.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership skills will be required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or previous experience in a manufacturing facility is highly preferred.
  • Experience with CAD, Building Management software, Microsoft Office is highly preferred.
