About The Position

Odyssey Systems is recruiting for a Facility Manager supporting its EPASS-SZQ contract supporting the SZQO Integration Branch. In this role, you will ensure administrative and physical measures are in place to mitigate vulnerabilities that jeopardize human life and physical property. This individual will have the opportunity to grow and develop while being a cornerstone of the facilities and security team. This is a full-time position at Peterson SFB located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have a minimum DoD Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance
  • High School Diploma
  • 4 years of facilities and security experience, 2 years of which must be in the DoD.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure administrative and physical measures are in place to mitigate vulnerabilities that jeopardize human life and physical property.
  • Escort personnel
  • Accompany the fire inspector during scheduled fire prevention inspections.
  • Develop operating instructions to ensure facilities under their control are safeguarded against threats and must address the following security measure to be taken during increased force protection conditions (FPCONs).
  • Perform a daily check and inspect regarding UPS units, building utilities systems for status of operations and maintenance issues.
  • As needed, perform minor moves, rearrange, repair minor furniture when personnel have changed locations or require having the workstation reconfigured for their needs ensuring minimum space requirements and available space for room mission changes; remove and replace furniture for carpet installation, accessibility for walls being painted and if the existing furniture is in the way of contractors work.
  • Perform minor repairs; basic troubleshoot for power fails to a workstation. If that doesn’t work or fix in-house, call in a CE work order.
  • Accomplish any additional tasking assigned to security and facility office by government and company leadership.
  • Set up meetings, use the internet to find information, check on specifications of equipment, C.E. when leadership has a question, Etc.
  • Assistances the Prime Facility Manager, Commander, the Chief of Security, or the members of the security staff direct to provide for the safety and security of U.S. Government resources and personnel.
  • Perform entry and access controls 12 hours/day, 5 days/week at Peterson AFB.
  • Continually monitor all persons entering and leaving the building to ensure that only authorized persons are permitted entry
  • Ensure accountable government equipment and classified media is not transported out of the building without proper authorization and monitor vehicles for suspicious activities.
  • Ingress controls shall include employee badge checks, identification and control of visitors and issuance of visitor badges, an examination of any suspicious packages/objects carried into the building.
  • Continuous monitoring of alarm panels and re-setting alarms as required.
  • Coordinate with security personnel on any unusual situation or problem, and notification of emergency conditions to the Installation Security Forces and/or Fire Department.
  • Dispatch service calls and do-it-now emergency response teams
  • Collect issued visitor badges, an observation of items/objects being carried by persons leaving the building
  • Perform and conduct Random Anti-terrorism Measures (random security checks in and around the building), Building emergency evacuations, and other documentation related to control of entry at facility.
  • Act as a liaison/focal point with all functional branches and shop supervisors
  • Oversee the assignment of reserved parking spaces
  • Ensure maintenance and/or construction operations continuously adhere to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules, and budgets.
  • Responsible for maintenance and/or construction performance, including subcontractors within assigned areas
  • Responsible for oversight of subcontracted and/or in-house facility maintenance and/or construction services
  • Provide input on performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
  • Clearly communicates expectations in the areas of safety and security.
