About The Position

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective management and operation of a building or group of facilities, ensuring that all aspects of facility management, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and health and safety, are executed efficiently. This role involves collaboration with the Assistant Facilities Manager to deliver high standards of service and facility performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in facility operations or management.
  • Knowledge of building systems, codes, and health and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with facility management software and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations including preventative maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure the facility meets industry regulations and environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Manage facility budgets, including cost optimization and vendor contract negotiation.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Facilities Manager to implement facility strategies and projects.
  • Supervise a team of maintenance and janitorial staff, including the Assistant Facilities Manager.
  • Liaise with tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
  • Supervise third-party contractors, ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with agreements.
  • Respond to emergency situations and facilitate business continuity plans.
