We are searching for the best talent for Facility Manager (FM) Site Lead to be located at Warsaw, IN. At Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) we take care of all J&J buildings around the world providing end to end services from Real Estate, Engineering & Strategic Project Delivery to Facilities Management. The FM will partner with all members of the site leadership team, the General Manager and the Warsaw Facility Management organization to ensure Facilities Management strategies are implemented effectively, and maintenance and operations are performed to the required standards. The Facility Manager (FM) Site Lead is accountable for driving FM capabilities at the Warsaw DePuy site while providing oversight to the facilities management outsourced partners. This role ensures the consistent safe and GxP compliant delivery of all facility related functions, including facility maintenance operations, infrastructure management, workplace experience, space management, efficient delivery of site services, maintenance and utilities operations, project delivery and energy management by applying an effective balance of internal employees and external service providers. The role is responsible for coordination of site facilities projects. This role is responsible for delivering a quality, safe, compliant, efficient and effective workplaces, and to support the site’s operations. The role works closely together with the Site Leadership Team (SLT) at Warsaw, having responsibility for the facilities function, while contributing to the successful leadership of the site. The incumbent needs the technical ability to deliver on this role, combined with leadership ability to work effectively with many peers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will also lead the FM organization to become a high performing team. An ideal candidate for this role will have experience in GxP facilities maintenance operations, infrastructure management, space management, and onsite employee and business services within a site (manufacturing and non-manufacturing). Key relationships include managing outsourced vendors and establishing clear lines of engagement with site-level business customers, Regional and Sub-Regional FM leadership, the Global Workstreams Organization, and select key Support Partners (e.g., Finance, IT, HR, EHS, GHS and Procurement).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business and/ or architecture is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of facilities, engineering in a Regulated and GXP environment
  • Good management and strong technical skills
  • A comprehensive understanding and experience of facilities maintenance, with the technical ability to operate as Facility Manager.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong passion for people leadership and development, with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with, influence and partner with colleagues throughout the Manufacturing Operation as a Strategic Business Partner.
  • Ability to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations
  • Ability to lead diverse teams through change and organizational transformation

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and GXP compliance is at the forefront of everything we do within the Facilities Management organization.
  • Drive FM focus and capabilities within site.
  • Serve as primary point of contact to site level business customer for Facilities quality, safety, compliance, and performance.
  • Manage site FM team activities, goals, development, and performance reviews.
  • Mentor / lead a team of managers, engineers, planners, specialists, technicians and contractors who act all together as a team responsible for ensuring the 24/7 continuous operational readiness of our sites.
  • Manage site level relationships with outsourcing partners, JNJ functions, business customers and authorities.
  • Serve as primary site liaison for Quality, Compliance, and EHSS compliance internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with external and internal requirements.
  • Ensure site facilities are compliant with good commercial, laboratory and manufacturing practices, and other regulations.
  • Establish budget and accurate spending projections, lead within capital and operating resources and have ability to identify significant OPEX and capital spend requirements during Budget preparation.
  • Lead an efficient Utilities/Asset/site Maintenance Program to sustain targeted equipment availability.
  • Share E&PS key performance metrics, benchmarks, and best practices to establish a high performance and continuous improvement culture.
  • Responsible for implementing business continuity plans, GXP initiatives, energy/sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure management programs to support strategic facilities planning in support of Engineering and Property Services (E&PS) and Site Leadership.
  • Implement and maintain business continuity plans and infrastructure management programs.
  • Support Project Development and Delivery teams on capital and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate between business units and contractors during planning / construction as needed.
  • Attend and/or chair customer and FM Facilities level governance forums.
  • Coordinate inspections on site, as needed.
  • Identify and apply E&PS programs and methodologies to generate savings and optimize the site and business performance.
  • Gather and provide site specific data and information to support regional and global metrics, programs, and performance analysis.
  • Manage departmental spend and budgeting.
  • Manage facility assets and develop long range capital planning to support site operations.
  • Partake in and lead matrix teams.
