About The Position

Our 250,000 square foot facility in Lake Zurich, IL, provides manufacturing, engineering and in-house tooling capabilities that world-class organizations rely on to support their operations. Job Description Summary Participates in the activities involved in the maintenance and repair of plant buildings and support systems.

Requirements

  • Thoroughness and detail oriented.
  • Planning and organization skills.
  • Flexibility and tolerance for constantly changing demands.
  • Ability to be a strong team player.
  • Basic machining, carpentry and other building skills.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical controls and schematics.
  • Works from ladders, scaffolds and platforms
  • Ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to lift 50 lb. objects intermittently. Heavier items will be handled using other methods.
  • High school, GED or work experience equivalent.
  • Technical training and/or 4-5 years of related experience.
  • Various hand tools, Power tools and specialized building maintenance power equipment.
  • Operate electric stand up lift to fix lightning.
  • Steel toed shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs are required at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for general facilities maintenance and upkeep in all plant and office areas. This includes, but is not limited to, General rough inside and outside carpentry work, painting, repairing, lighting, light construction, air compressor and HVAC filter maintenance, cleaning and help assisting in the general appearance of offices, changing light bulbs, hanging pictures general handy man type work etc.
  • Constantly evaluate all aspects of facility maintenance for continuous improvement and communicate ideas to the Maintenance Supervisor / Manager.
  • Responsible for informing the Maintenance Supervisor / Manager of all noteworthy activities that take place during the shift.
  • Works independently, with little direct supervision.
  • Complete work orders.
  • Follow ISO/IATF, safety, and environmental procedures as well as department and corporate policies and procedures.
