Facility Maintenance Technician
About The Position
PlanITROI is seeking a mechanically inclined, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day function of our computer hardware remanufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, solving problems, and completing a wide variety of tasks to ensure smooth production operations. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance, assist with cable dressing and equipment setup, and support the upkeep of internal production machinery and facility systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual, particularly those coming from a trade program or community college, who is looking to gain experience in a technology-focused production environment.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and strong hands-on tool skills required.
- Experience in facility or equipment maintenance needed, trade school highly valued.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical or electrical issues.
- Comfortable performing cable management and equipment hookups.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, tools, and facility systems.
- Support cable dressing, cable routing, and equipment hookups for production workstations and testing stations.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain internal equipment used in the re-manufacturing process.
- Assist with setup and configuration of machines, benches, and assembly areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment is running efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify maintenance needs and minimize equipment downtime.
- Complete work orders and document all maintenance activities accurately.
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks as needed (basic repairs, adjustments, replacement of small parts, etc.)
