About The Position
Facility Maintenance Technician Position Summary: Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm 100% on-site Located in St. Petersburg, FL, this facility is the primary softgel development and manufacturing facility in North America, with the capacity to produce over 18 billon softgels annually and serve more than 100 global markets. The site offers integrated formulation and analytical services, including lipid formulation development, liquid fill capabilities, and specialized manufacturing areas for hormones and non-gelatin softgels like OptiShell and Vegicaps. The Facility Maintenance Technician will use maintenance, repair /general contractor skills to perform general maintenance on facility.
Requirements
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years’ experience working under a general contractor
- Experience with general carpentry, drywall installation, carpet installation, painting, and installation of light equipment is required
- Must be able to withstand heights, climb ladder, walk, stand, sit, kneel, and lay down - to perform repairs
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.; no lifting greater than 44.09 pounds without assistance
Nice To Haves
- Experience with managing contactors is preferred
- Forklift experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Make general repairs to the buildings, both interior and exterior
- Fabricates walls and ceilings, performs plant renovations including finish carpentry work, drywall installation and finishing and carpet installation
- Paint buildings and equipment as required
- Install light equipment
- Move furniture and equipment
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as required
- Maintains waste drums
- Handles non-hazardous, hazardous and DEA waste
- Other duties as assigned
