At least one (1) year of related experience, including carpentry and HVAC maintenance experience.
Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
Ability to operate tools and equipment for land management.
Knowledge of basic wiring, plumbing, carpentry, and landscape maintenance and repairs.
Working knowledge of facility maintenance equipment and the use of cleaning chemicals.
Ability to define a problem, analyze relevant information, and develop solutions and plans to solve the problem.
Ability to interact with the general public in a professional manner.
Ability to develop cooperative working relationships.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work varying shifts and hours, as needed.
Responsibilities
Complete daily custodial tasks to include trash removal, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, windows, vacuuming, cleaning exhibits, and steam cleaning carpeted areas.
Maintain grounds through mowing, application of fertilizer and pesticides, snow removal, concrete placement, and maintaining trails, trees, shrubs, native planting beds, and mulching, etc.
Operate and repair equipment for landscaping, light plumbing, minor electrical repairs, etc.
Construct and maintain water features, retaining walls, walkways, planting beds, native plant gardens, courtyards, and fences.
Communicate with internal and external customers and stakeholders regarding facilities.
