At least one (1) year of related experience, including carpentry and HVAC maintenance experience.
Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
Ability to operate tools and equipment for land management.
Knowledge of basic wiring, plumbing, carpentry, and landscape maintenance and repairs.
Working knowledge of facility maintenance equipment and the use of cleaning chemicals.
Ability to define a problem, analyze relevant information, and develop solutions and plans to solve the problem.
Ability to interact with the general public in a professional manner.
Ability to develop cooperative working relationships.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work varying shifts and hours, as needed.
Responsibilities
Maintain grounds through mowing, application of fertilizer and pesticides, snow removal, concrete placement, and maintaining turf, trees, shrubs, native planting beds, weeding, and mulching, etc.
Operate and repair equipment for landscaping, plumbing, electrical repair, etc.
Control nuisance animals, exotic and invasive species, and prescribed burns.
Establish food plots, prairie, savannah, glades, forest areas, grasses, forbs, and tree seedlings.
Construct and maintain water features, retaining walls, walkways, planting beds, native plant gardens, courtyards, and fences.
Communicate with internal and external customers and stakeholders regarding facilities.
