About The Position

About the Role: As a CBRE Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks across our single-site hospital facility. This role is critical in ensuring all building systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations, directly supporting our mission of providing high-quality patient care. This is a client-facing role, requiring excellent communication and a professional demeanor. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You'll Do: Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and minor repairs throughout the hospital facility. Execute ongoing preventive maintenance and repair tasks on diverse mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Conduct routine maintenance inspections to diagnose potential issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement timely repairs. Support energy management initiatives by continuously monitoring building systems to ensure efficient operation and identify opportunities for energy conservation. Assist with the installation, modification, and commissioning of new or upgraded building equipment and systems. Review and manage assigned work orders, utilizing available systems for accurate tracking of progress and completion. Inspect existing installations and maintenance work to ensure strict compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Maintain a professional and service-oriented demeanor while interacting with staff, patients, and visitors in a client-facing environment. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Proven experience in general building maintenance, including painting, carpentry, and basic MEP/HVAC systems.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
