Denver Parks and Recreation is seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician that will report to and support the City and County of Denver’s beautiful Mountain Parks. This position will be responsible for a variety of construction, maintenance, and upkeep of our Mountain Parks Amenities. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work independently and as a part of a small team. We are looking for a well-rounded and experienced Maintenance Technician who can work effectively on a team but is highly-motived enough to complete work orders and projects independently as needed.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Driver’s License at time of application
  • Requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL “B”) with appropriate endorsements by end of 6 month probation
  • Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
  • Three (3) years of experience performing a variety of duties in construction, mechanical, or facility maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Experience in maintenance and repair of a variety or machinery and equipment.
  • Experience in snow removal and road grading
  • Proficiency in operating light to heavy equipment
