About The Position

This role will be responsible for maintenance and repairs within the facility including mechanical production equipment. This role will support various departments to ensure a clean, well-organized, and functional working environment for all employees, and communicate with third party vendors related to building maintenance activities.

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 4+ years in a facility maintenance role.
  • 2+ years of machine mechanics experience.
  • Ability to perform without reasonable accommodation: walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, twisting, and lifting a minimum 55 lbs. or more.
  • Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, strong odors, and loud noises with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

  • Technical/Trade School in Mechanics, preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing (machine shop) environment, specifically in precision metal components (plus).

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic and routine facility maintenance and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
  • Follows standard operating procedures
  • Installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, safety, and waste management systems.
  • Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving equipment or materials within the facility.
  • Contacts communicates and works with contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical machinery, including changing oil and topping off oil on designated machines.
  • Processes, organizes, and coordinates all scrap with outside vendor(s).
  • Completes installations and troubleshooting on production machinery.
  • Determines and orders parts required for replacement or repair for the facility and production machinery.
  • Communicates timeline of maintenance and repairs to Production Manager and Engineering Manager.
  • Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.
  • Follows all safety procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
