About The Position

About the Role: As a CBRE Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of our hospital and clinic facilities across a multi-site campus. The successful candidate will primarily focus on painting and patching, while also performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will be joining our 2nd shift team from 3:00PM-11:30PM in Lakeway, TX. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You'll Do: Execute professional painting and patching tasks, including surface preparation, minor drywall repairs, and finishing work, to uphold the visual standards of our healthcare facilities. Perform diverse general maintenance duties, encompassing various building systems and infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance. Efficiently complete assigned work orders, prioritizing tasks to minimize disruption and address urgent maintenance needs. Conduct ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs, including inspections and proactive interventions, on building elements such as drywall, painted surfaces, and other interior and exterior components. Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues promptly, applying appropriate techniques and tools to ensure lasting solutions. Collaborate professionally with clients and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and delivering high-quality service. Contribute to minor renovation projects, ensuring all work adheres to established safety and quality standards. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems. Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion. Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently. Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Proven experience in commercial painting, patching, and general building maintenance.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
