About The Position

Cresco Labs, a large public, vertically integrated, multistate operator in the cannabis industry, is seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician for its 1st Shift. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the facility and production machinery remain in peak operational condition. This involves minimizing downtime through proactive preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting of complex automated equipment, and general repair of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical) to support all manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with hand/power tools.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose issues and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • 3+ years of industrial/commercial building maintenance required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
  • Capacity to sit, stand, kneel, and perform repetitive hand actions for long periods.
  • Willingness to work around plant materials, including potential exposure to pollen and dust.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future sponsorship at any time.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized technical training, apprenticeships, or an associate degree in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • HVAC Certification is highly preferred.
  • NFPA 70E, EPA 608, etc. certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance (inspect, clean, lubricate, adjust) on pumps, HVAC equipment, boilers, valves, agricultural sprayers, industrial dehumidifiers.
  • Diagnose mechanical failures using diagnostic devices and dismantle machinery to repair or replace defective components.
  • Ensure automated equipment and systems remain operational through routine checks and technical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain building systems including lighting, HVAC, life safety, and security fencing.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs or installations as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, machine prints, schematics, and service manuals for repairs and utility installations.
  • Install piping systems (compressed air, irrigation piping, drainage systems) and industrial electrical control circuits.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders using CMMS software (computerized maintenance management system).
  • Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and use required PPE (hearing, eyewear, shoes).
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to identify and resolve maintenance needs.
