Requirements

• Technical certification from a college or technical school or a minimum of two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to prepare, read and comprehend documents.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.
• Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, state or federal law.
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide stellar customer service including participation in and promotion of customer service programs.
• Maintain facility shops, working areas, and tool and equipment storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Conduct visual, manual or auditory inspections and testing of machinery, equipment or structures as needed.
• Identify and analyze problems, malfunctions, or performance variations on machinery, equipment or structures.
• Repair machinery, equipment or structures through dismantling and rebuilding.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment and structures.
• Undertake complex electrical workshop functions including installing, maintaining, replacing, connecting, disconnecting and repairing electrical or mechanical apparatus.
• Clean and maintain HVAC systems and all components related to such units.
• Install, maintain, replace, and repair plumbing including fabrication and installation of new sewage and water lines.
• Maintain, repair and replace ceiling tiles and structures.
• Operate and utilize machine tools and equipment to repair or fabricate parts, fixtures and tools.
• Perform basic carpentry work including woodwork and building.
• Perform basic metal works such as layout, assembly and dismantling operations.
• Perform basic locksmithing tasks as needed.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility and its contents.
• Perform tasks to ensure the attractive and safe physical appearance of the facility.
• Repair and maintain equipment or machinery used in all facets of operations.
• Perform repairs or maintenance as necessary to ensure compliance with OSHA, fire and safety standards.
• Respond to facility maintenance needs as requested by other departments.
• Assist with landscaping duties, snow and debris removal and warehousing functions.
• Assist in emergency functions and procedures.
• Ensure supplies are stocked as needed.
• Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed.
• Compile information, complete and submit reports as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
