About The Position

At Anderson Center for Autism, Facilities Maintenance Technicians play an essential role in supporting safe, clean, and welcoming environments for the individuals we serve and the staff who support them. The Facilities Maintenance Technician I is responsible for routine cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance tasks across campus, ensuring that all spaces meet high standards of health, safety, and professionalism. This role works independently or as part of a work group and contributes directly to creating environments that promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Pay Range: $18.50 - $21.00 Hourly; Based on experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Sufficient experience to effectively perform cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and use tools and equipment appropriately
  • Commitment to professionalism, reliability, and respect in the workplace

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and in a professional, workmanlike manner
  • Maintain assigned areas in clean, sanitary condition at all times
  • Clean and sanitize spaces as scheduled to help prevent the spread of infection and promote a healthy environment
  • Complete minor maintenance and repair work as assigned
  • Use tools and equipment safely, effectively, and appropriately for assigned tasks
  • Request assistance when needed to ensure work is completed correctly and safely
  • Maintain proper care of tools and equipment and report malfunctions promptly
  • Complete assigned jobs from start through cleanup and required paperwork
  • Maintain a daily log documenting completed work and activities
  • Represent the department positively through professional behavior and appearance
  • Maintain appropriate personal grooming standards
  • Wear designated uniform in clean and good condition
  • Communicate respectfully with and about coworkers
  • Participate in seasonal on‑call snow and ice removal as part of the campus snow team
  • Respond promptly to snow team notifications in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs
