Job Summary: The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the facility, including its infrastructure, machinery, and equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs to ensure the facility's optimal functioning. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance issues. Performs routine maintenance such as system checks, plumbing repairs, and electrical system inspections. Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment, including but not limited to, pumps, motors, generators, and other machinery. Coordinates with external vendors for specialized equipment repairs. Responds promptly to emergency maintenance requests and issues to minimize downtime. Diagnoses and resolves urgent problems to ensure the safety and functionality of the facility. Develops and implements a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure the longevity of equipment and systems. Keeps detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Performs basic carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and walls. Addresses building maintenance issues, such as leaks, structural damage, or general wear and tear. Maintains the exterior of the facility, including landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot maintenance. Ensures that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines. Participates in safety training programs and promotes a safe working environment. Communicates effectively with other departments, management, and external contractors. Reports on the status of maintenance activities and provides recommendations for improvements. Performs other duties as assigned.
