The Facility Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading preventive and corrective maintenance, reliability initiatives, and compliance activities across heavy fabrication equipment, facilities, utilities, and material-handling assets. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime to support on-time production while maintaining strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This position requires a hands-on leader who anticipates issues before they disrupt operations, maintains disciplined documentation and systems, and remains effective when responding to urgent repairs, shifting schedules, and evolving production demands. Quality, Safety & Compliance Follow Smith Industries LLC quality policies, procedures, and standards Ensure equipment, facilities, and assets are maintained in compliance with applicable safety, welding, crane, transportation, and industry standards Support compliance with state and highway regulations for company vehicles and equipment Promote a strong safety culture by actively participating in hazard recognition, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and required training programs General Requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively Team-oriented mindset with initiative, accountability, and a hands-on leadership approach Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a production-driven environment Willingness to work flexible hours, including extended hours or weekends, when critical repairs or operational needs arise Leads by example and demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and dedication
