About The Position

The Facility and Maintenance Supervisor directs the maintenance and custodial program in order to maintain all facilities, grounds and equipment in a sanitary, functional, attractive and orderly condition. This position also supervises assigned maintenance and custodial staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years' experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and/or painting.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience.
• Broad knowledge of construction, repair, maintenance and service procedures, practices, problems and compliance.
• Knowledge of procurement, cost-benefit analysis and cost control, landscaping and mechanical systems preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical (HVAC) license.
• Plumbing license.
• Electrical license.

Responsibilities

• Direct the maintenance and custodial program.
• Supervise assigned maintenance and custodial staff.
• Maintain all facilities, grounds, and equipment in a sanitary, functional, attractive, and orderly condition.
• Confer with the Administrator or General Services Director before initiating expenditures of more than $500.
• Initiate emergency repairs not to exceed $1,000 in the absence of the Administrator or General Services Director.
