About The Position

The Department for Facilities Management, Division of Building Services (DBS) is responsible for preventive maintenance, general repairs, small to medium construction projects, snow removal, and other landscaping services, janitorial services, and many other essential day-to-day building functions. Within DBS, a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor I provides direct supervision and leadership for the building support staff at one or more locations. They interact daily with tenants, visitors, contractors, tradesmen, and other staff while performing and coordinating services, housekeeping, and maintenance activities. Tact, diplomacy, and broad-based building systems knowledge are essential for success. We’re looking for a knowledgeable, experienced supervisor who likes working with people and thrives in a challenging dynamic environment. Requirements

High school graduate.
Three years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience.
Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
