About The Position

The Kentucky Department of Parks is hiring a Facility Maintenance Supervisor I to help preserve and maintain one of Kentucky's most significant historic landmarks. As our Facility Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in keeping Perryville Battlefield running smoothly.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Three years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising our maintenance team in all aspects of building, grounds, and heating plant operations.
• Creating efficient work schedules and coordinating daily operations.
• Conducting facility inspections to ensure cleanliness and identify maintenance needs.
• Managing materials, supplies, and inventory to keep operations running seamlessly.
• Partnering with engineers and contractors on equipment installation and repair projects.
• Maintaining accurate records, time sheets, and operational documentation.
• Providing hands-on support and guidance to staff on policies, procedures, and maintenance tasks.
• Rolling up your sleeves to perform maintenance work alongside your team when needed.
