About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facility General Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning and appearance of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This position is a full-time position and will include a shift differential. Scheduled hours are Monday – Friday 10:30pm-7:00am.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with building maintenance software or work order systems.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to facility maintenance.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and order materials as needed.
Assist with setup and teardown for events, including moving furniture and equipment.
Assembling manufacturing machines/lines, learning how they work, performing preventative maintenance and making necessary repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
Document maintenance activities and report on the status of repairs and projects.
Participate in emergency response efforts as needed, including snow removal and facility repairs.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required.
