Job Description Facility Maintenance Service Technician (basic to intermediate level) – Pharmaceutical Distribution Center Location: Ruther Glen, VA, USA - 10504 McKesson Drive. Job Summary: McKesson’s temperature controlled semi-automated Distribution Center in Ruther Glen, VA is currently hiring Facility/Maintenance/Service Technician(s). The distribution team is seeking individuals who have repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex technical tasks. This candidate should be able to communicate professionally with a wide range of groups from external clients to upper management to front line employees and must possess an aptitude to learn quickly on new conveyance systems. Minimum Requirements Typically requires 0-1 years of related experience. Requirements

  • Facility, maintenance or service technician experience, preferably with exposure to automation
  • Experience with Power Equipment (Forklift/Reach Truck/Scissor Lift/Electric pallet jack); must be able to become certified and maintain certifications
  • Troubleshooting and repair experience with a variety of different equipment used in a distribution center environment
  • Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge/exposure to warehouse work environments
  • Basic knowledge/exposure to various trades
  • Basic knowledge/exposure to LOTO and OSHA regulations
  • Basic use of Microsoft Office products with the ability to learn, use, and troubleshoot internal software(s) as needed
  • Positive, proactive, organized team members who are willing to continuously learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs or heavier in a team environment. Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift & fork truck use, climbing up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in managing preventative maintenance scheduling and vendor contracts related to facilities services
  • Assists in preparing reports, correspondence, presentations, and other materials.
  • Must be willing to assist with janitorial, housekeeping, landscaping duties (if required)
