Clean Harbors located in Baltimore, MD is looking to add a Facility Maintenance Technician to join the team. The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing hands on maintenance related activities that are needed to keep the plant maintained from rebuilding pumps, working on piping, insulation, pneumatics as well as preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance tasks. Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. OT and Saturdays as needed Pay: $25-30 DOE.

  • Perform maintenance activities including, but not limited to, pump rebuilds, preventative maintenance, basic installations of pipe, and electrical work.
  • Perform basic repairs and upkeep in the welding, electrical, pipe fitting, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Act as an assistant to higher-level maintenance personnel on large, more complex maintenance activities.
  • Operate a forklift if required and trained.
  • Ensure work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure that work meets compliance standards within the facility operation.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Review all applicable SOPs annually and score a satisfactory score on SOP quizzes.
  • Manage supplies in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices.
  • Adhere to all applicable CHES policies and CHES SOPs.
  • Perform job functions in compliance with the company standard.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management.
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of pump rebuilding, piping, insulation, and pneumatics.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift (if required and trained).
  • Understanding of Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Experience in welding, electrical, pipe fitting, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Previous experience in a facility maintenance role.
