About The Position

Love fixing things, staying active, and being part of a great team? We’re looking for a Facility Maintenance Rep to help keep our Planet Fitness clubs in top shape! You’ll be the go-to person making sure everything from gym equipment to showers is working smoothly—basically, a behind-the-scenes hero for our members and staff.

Requirements

Experience or knowledge of the following areas: Basic Drywall Basic Tile Work Basic Electrical Basic Plumbing Basic computer skills.
A proactive, can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and identify tasks that need attention without direct supervision.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Comfortable interacting professionally and respectfully with staff and members.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a skilled trade is a plus, but not required.
A passion for health and fitness.
A positive, upbeat attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance tasks using various hand and occasional power tools.
Travel between multiple Planet Fitness locations in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties to address facility needs.
Diagnose and repair minor issues before they escalate into major problems.
Assist senior maintenance technicians with larger or two-person jobs.
Maintain and repair gym equipment, tanning beds, HydroMassage machines, restrooms, showers, TVs, ceiling tiles, and more.
