Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read work orders and safety documents
  • Self motivated & the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong technical ability
  • Facility Maintenance department knowledge
  • Proven dependability
  • Good attendance.
  • Ability to work around grease, oils, and solvents
  • Ability to work from heights, including ascending/descending ladders
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work in high noise environment
  • Berry level #2 electrical
  • CPR and 1st Aid Certified

Responsibilities

  • Front line leader responsibility for GDC leading indicators.
  • Act a backup to department Group Lead.
  • Prioritize and execute department needs on a daily basis.
  • Create and distribute job tasks for PMs, projects and equipment repairs.
  • Audit the work of assigned personnel.
  • Department front line leader responsibility for JDE, LOTO, training, coaching and counselling, disciplinary actions.
  • Provide first response to other departments on support requests, foster teamwork within the plant and between departments.
  • Front line leader responsibility for all safety requirements for assigned personnel and on-site contractors.
  • Manage the schedule of assigned shifts.
  • Front line leader responsibility for ISO, QSI, SQF, GMP, HACCP.
  • Oversee and coordinate the training of assigned personnel.
