About The Position

Facility Janitor upkeeps the grounds and facilities. This position aids in the recycling process as well as performing a daily routine of waste management and upkeep. Essential Functions: Must have flexibility regarding work schedule based on business needs. Cleans up cigarette stations. Picks up paper and garbage in all areas. Available to assist in any of the Jonti-Craft buildings. Empties and cleans all waste barrels. Sorts recycling materials as needed. Picks up leaves and small garbage with the motorized vacuum. Works with the janitorial team to determine building areas that require focus. Notifies proper personnel when recycling needs to be picked up. Presence in the workplace is an essential function of this job. Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Strong teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Self-motivated. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language for safety purposes in an understandable manner. Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required. Working Conditions: Our production environment is typical for wood manufacturing and includes a variety of environmental elements including loud noise, dust, and aromas. While this is an indoor operation, temperatures will vary with the outdoor temperature and some areas of the shop may be hot or cold. Worker may be subject to vibration. Worker is subject to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles and/or heat. Physical Requirements: Production positions are physically demanding and may be strenuous. They are standing positions and include frequent walking, lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. There are a lot of body movements, including extending arms, grasping with hands, and flexing of wrists. There may be a lot of bending and twisting. Each position requires ongoing rotations of movements and workers must have the physicality to perform the essential functions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs.
