About The Position

The position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the plant facility. The employee will utilize sanitizing chemicals and cleaning equipment as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand cleaning labels.
• Must be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate small power or hand tools.
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment, such as ride-on scrubbers.
• Basic computer skills are not required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks.
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
• Regular and punctual attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial experience is advantageous, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum all assigned areas including bathrooms, locker rooms, hallways, stairwells, welfare areas, and production offices.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas, ensuring they are free from slippery surfaces and debris.
• Clean and sanitize walls, windows, tables, floors, and similar surfaces.
• Empty trash and garbage containers, and pick up cigarette butts, paper, and any debris found inside or outside the facility.
• Visually observe and report repairs or issues in the plant such as missing tiles or light bulb replacements to management.
• Operate various types of motorized cleaning equipment, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and storage of equipment.
• Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
