About The Position

Clean Harbors in Kimball, NE is seeking a Facility Foreman for Special Handling Operations. This position involves hands-on operations and supervision of plant operations associated with the high-temperature disposal of waste. The Facility Foreman will supervise multiple plant employees and oversee a single plant operation. The role requires a willingness to work 4/12 hour rotating shifts per week, including days and nights, with a pay rate of $30.50 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is available with approval.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications.
  • Previous forklift operating experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent commitment to health & safety.
  • Knowledge of CHI systems.
  • Demonstrates complete proficiency in one or more specific plant operations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work off-hours and on an on-call basis.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to your waist.
  • Climb up and down vertical ladders.
  • Capable of reaching out, over and down exerting a force.
  • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical.
  • Ability to perform physical fitness tasks such as 10 pushups, deep knee squats, and sit-ups.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Background check, drug screen, and physical required.
  • Punctuality and attendance required.
  • Respirator fit test upon hire - clean shaven face required (mustache okay!).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Perform specific plant operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, truck off-loading/loading, and wastewater treatment.
  • Supervise multiple employees and a single plant operation.
  • Operate a forklift when necessary.
  • Maintain and submit all associated paperwork for waste tracking movements immediately after processing operations.
  • Ensure that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure that supervised operations staff meets all compliance standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and follow best practices for supply management in areas of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
