About The Position

The Facility Engineering - Project Manager will oversee store construction projects, including new builds, expansions, and remodels, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role serves as the company's representative during these projects, providing essential communication and support to contractors and vendors while embodying the company's core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, construction management or related field OR 5+ years of construction management experience.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents.
  • Ability to lead retail management and contractors through moderately difficult to difficult projects.
  • Ability to budget and organize orders on a project.
  • Basic financial training.
  • 1-3 years of construction management experience for L7; 3-6 years for L8.
  • Experience with equipment purchasing software and construction project management tools.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Proven supervisory/leadership, conflict management and negotiation skills for L8.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and external vendors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel independently (50%).

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate knowledge of e-Pro and Sitefolio for L7.
  • Extensive knowledge/experience with e-Pro and Sitefolio for L8.
  • Basic knowledge of capital projects in at least two areas: new remodel, expansion remodel, interior remodel and/or fuel for L7.
  • Working knowledge of capital projects: new remodel, expansion remodel, interior remodel and/or fuel for L8.

Responsibilities

  • Execute store construction projects under the guidance of the assistant or senior construction manager.
  • Complete projects at or below budget and on or before the project deadline.
  • Act as the company's representative on store construction projects.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to contractors and vendors.
