  • Lead and oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring optimal and safe functioning of all systems.
  • Accountable for the entire Critical Environment operations, safety, risk mitigation, maintenance, and improvements to the physical CE Infrastructure.
  • Schedule and hire personnel for the assigned critical facility, site, or campus.
  • Coordinate with other teams and manage the facilities engineering and operations staff as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with facility operating procedures, processes, work rules, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist and plan with clients on facility issues, working closely on notification, planning, and resolution.
  • Be on call 24x7x365 and respond to all facility emergencies.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations.
  • Lead and supervise the engineering and maintenance team, ensuring effective performance and adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems.
  • Foster teamwork and drive for results, ensuring customer and team priorities.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor safety standards and procedures.
  • Evaluate the facility's systems and processes, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  • Lead the team during emergencies, ensuring timely and effective response.
  • Identify training needs and ensure the team receives necessary technical training and professional development.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors, ensuring quality work is completed on time.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of maintenance projects and general facility health.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 13 years of experience in facility management or a related field, including at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams across complex operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial oversight.
  • Strong background in electrical and HVAC systems, including UPS and emergency power systems, chillers and cooling towers, and steam plants/boilers.
  • Experience creating and executing preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret facility blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local codes and regulations related to facility operations.
  • Knowledge of contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and contract management principles.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; Stationary Engineer highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software tools.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations governing facility systems and safety standards.
  • Ability to effectively respond to emergencies and perform under high-stress conditions.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Stationary Engineer certification.
