Your Role You will provide technical expertise to support the Operations and Maintenance teams in terms of repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition, you will develop and maintain partner relationships with your internal and external customers while responding to both critical and routine support requests. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
  • Two or more years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Two or more years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment
  • Ability to work in distribution environments that may be noisy and potentially work on roof top equipment in extreme temperatures
  • One or more years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
  • One or more years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
  • Able to work with others as well as work independently, you will be expected to be a self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload
  • Understanding and knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information
  • Background or experience in conveyor and forklift operation and repair

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Two or more years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions
  • Basic HVAC knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and plumbing as it relates to the building, additional duties as assigned to support Operations and facility
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facility
  • Track and facilitate department inventory
  • Move objects weighing up to 50lbs with regular bending, lifting and reaching both below the waist and above the head, along with pushing and pulling wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds
  • May be scheduled to work shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodations
