We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facility Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead all aspects of the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of our facilities. The Facility Engineer will play a key role in ensuring that our facilities meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards while implementing cost-effective solutions, especially in the context of launching new automotive vehicle projects as part of the manufacturing engineering organization. Must be willing to relocate to Warsaw, IN. Relocation assistance will be provided.

  • Prioritize safety above all to protect team members, partners, and customers.
  • Plan, design, and supervise construction and maintenance of facilities, with a focus on supporting the launch of new automotive vehicle projects.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering teams, architects, contractors, and other collaborators to develop and implement facility projects in alignment with vehicle launch schedules.
  • Run facility and utility improvement projects, Pilot vehicle office and shop facility specific to the unique requirements of manufacturing, from conceptualization to completion.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs in manufacturing processes and coordinate necessary actions.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for critical systems and equipment supporting automotive production.
  • Manage facility and utility budgets, ensuring optimization of costs for maintenance and improvement projects related to manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities, with a particular emphasis on manufacturing safety standards.
  • Be responsible for security systems and protocols to safeguard the facility, with consideration for the security requirements of manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the manufacturing engineering organization to address facility-related needs and requirements for automotive vehicle launches.
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers, especially those contributing to manufacturing facility projects.
  • Implement energy conservation initiatives and sustainable practices specific to automotive manufacturing facilities.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for facility-related issues in the context of launching new automotive vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain facility documentation, including blueprints, manuals, and records, with a focus on the unique requirements of automotive manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Professional Engineer (PE) license and advance degree is a plus).
  • Shown experience as a Facility Engineer or in a similar role, with a track record of optimally supporting automotive vehicle launches.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing continues improvement, facility management principles and standard processes, especially in an automotive manufacturing context.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution, with a focus on automotive manufacturing facility projects.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve and address facility-related issues promptly, specifically those impacting automotive manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards relevant to automotive manufacturing facilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainability initiatives in the context of automotive manufacturing.
  • Experience with facilities in automotive manufacturing or similar industrial settings.
  • Certification in Facility Management (CFM) is a plus.
  • Understanding of utility feeds and utility management.
  • Relocation assistance will be provided.
