Facility Engineer SME
About The Position
Provide Subject Matter Expert support for Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF). The support would include Program Management and Engineering support for the strategic planning and execution of industrial and manufacturing facility operations and maintenance activities under the NASA CPSS contract. This position is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Your future duties and responsibilities: . Provide overall management, engineering support, technology assessment(s), planning and execution of mission support related activities. . Provide consulting and oversight for liaison visits and senior management visits to MAF while providing recommendations to the DCOO. . Support engineering design review and provide expertise relating to Fire Protection systems and NFPA code requirements. . Provide review of facility operational activities at MAF that could/would impact other NASA Organizations and provide recommendations and guidance to MAF management. . Provide consulting services with MAF tenants on all technical activities and facilitate strategic planning along with recommended innovative capabilities that would reduce/eliminate risk . Attend/participate on technical evaluation teams and provide assessments of the progress toward technical commitments. . Review Statement of Work(s) and provide detailed reports of risks, assessments, work planning, proposed execution and impacts to the overall facility at MAF. . Support mission planning and execution of the transition of technical requirements to a multi-functional facility.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in program/project budget, schedule, and performance analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of the development and integration of cost estimates, workforce allocations and the budget development and integration, tracking of resource requirements.
- Extensive experience relating to Fire Protection systems and NFPA code requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to interface with senior-level government officials. managers and its customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as Excel, Word and Power Point, and various NASA budget tools.
