About The Position

We are seeking a Facility Electrical Engineer for assignment in Wilton, Connecticut. The selected candidate will collaborate with on-site personnel to support projects of varying size and complexity including assessment of systems, consulting system owners and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm This position is on-site

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years experience in engineering design of building electrical systems , including distribution to end use
• Solid knowledge and application of the electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes and other related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE standards
• Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware
• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS and other controls applications
• Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
• Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel

Responsibilities

• Work will include retrofit of existing building systems as well as new systems
• Interacting with the client, contractors and site personnel
• Designing, developing, evaluating and preparing recommendations with basis of design (BOD) and scope of work (SOW) documents
• Develop construction and specifications documents through the positional (programming) process with a team
• Oversee engineering and construction for the facility power distributions system work (up to 13.8kV), grounding, lighting, emergency and standby generation systems, life safety systems and fire alarm and detection systems
