About The Position

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence seeks a Registered Nurse Facility Educator supporting Baystate Wing Hospital. Under the direction of the System Director of Clinical Education with a matrix reporting to the facility Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Facility Educator for Baystate Wing Hospital ensures clinical staff receive timely, relevant, responsive education, mentoring, and is responsible for hands-on educational support. The Facility Educator supports bedside education and assists with the implementation of new initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: Bedside Teaching & Mentorship Highly visible facility-based educator that provides real-time clinical education and coaching at the point of care. Support staff with clinical decision-making, documentation, and procedural guidance. Initiative Implementation Assist in the deployment of new system-wide initiatives. Ensure consistent messaging and training across shifts. Serve as a resource for staff, with access to patient charts to support clinical reasoning and documentation. Use digital tools to provide guidance and feedback. Collaborative Leadership Maintain a dotted-line reporting relationship with the CNO of each facility to align education with site-specific needs. Communicate regularly with the central education team to ensure continuity and integration of educational efforts. Mentors other professionals

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree Required: A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), MSN or master’s degree in health-related field if BSN.
  • RN Massachusetts (required).
  • At least three years of clinical experience.
  • Experience teaching/precepting individuals or groups of students or staff

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within a teaching hospital.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
