Facility Driver and General Aide
About The Position
PURPOSE STATEMENT: Responsible for safely transporting patients to and from appointments, activity trips, airport shuttle service and other special events. Serenity Knolls is located in the San Geronimo Valley just 10 minutes West of Fairfax has a new opening for a Driver Technician to join our team. Serenity Knolls is a 42 bed co-ed facility serving ages 18 and up. Included in the 42 bed capacity are 6 beds available for detox. Serenity Knolls is a 12 step based, social model residential treatment center. The Knolls uniquely combines the traditional social model of care with contemporary cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic and evidence based practice.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid state driver's license (if required by state).
Nice To Haves
- CPR, First Aid, and de-escalation/restraint certification preferred but not required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
Responsibilities
- Pick up or transports visitors & staff as needed.
- Transport patients for admissions and discharges.
- Drive company facility vehicle to pick-up supplies or equipment, as needed.
- Accurately and appropriately complete all transportation documentation.
- Maintain vehicle log(s) and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff
- Ensure all company vehicles are kept clean and functional.
- Make new bedding packages for scheduled bed moves & discharges.
- Guest Bed Moves (1-7 each day); refresh rooms, make beds, move guest & belongings to new room.
- Clean & disinfect rooms and all facility bathrooms, as needed.
- Organize & bag dirty laundry (towels, sheets, blankets). Clean house laundry.
- Transport kitchen supplies.
- Inventory Office Supplies & Report
- Serve as an office "runner"
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards our guests always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
