About The Position
The Facility Director for Outpatient Rehab at St. Luke's is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the physical therapy, occupational therapy, and, if applicable, speech language pathology services within the facility. This position requires a strategic approach to developing objectives that align with the organization's mission of providing excellent care to patients, educating healthcare providers, and improving access to care. The Facility Director will lead a team of therapists, ensuring that they are well-trained and equipped to deliver high-quality services to patients. In this role, the Facility Director will actively engage with physicians to discuss patient issues, promote new programs, and enhance the practice's visibility within the community. The director will also be responsible for reviewing monthly referral and marketing reports, conducting quarterly reviews, and orienting new therapists to the facility's procedures. Teaching new techniques and clinical knowledge to improve patient care is a key responsibility, as is managing staff coverage during vacations and busy periods. The Facility Director will collaborate with other managers to develop budgets for equipment acquisition and propose policies for effective practice management. Flexibility in work hours is essential to accommodate fluctuations in patient load. The director will also be responsible for reviewing weekly statistics for accuracy, checking schedules for open evaluation slots, and participating in community events to promote physical therapy services. Regular staff meetings will be facilitated to ensure effective communication and collaboration among the team.
