About The Position

Holy Angels Residential Facility is in search of a Facility Dietary Kitchen Cook/Porter to help to ensure high standards of cooking, cleanliness and sanitation are being met in the kitchen.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate with other Dietary Cooks
  • Must have 1-5 years’ experience cooking in a kitchen, industrial facility preferred
  • Must maintain a current and valid driver’s license to drive for Holy Angels
  • GED or High School Diploma Required
  • Drug Screen
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Driver’s License Check
  • Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Walk, stand, sit, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, use hands and lift up to 50lbs, 2/3’s of the time
  • Climb ladders

  • ServSafe Certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Cook and follow menu for meal prep
  • Follow health, hygiene and safety procedures in the kitchen
  • Receive weekly deliveries, store, label and date items in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage areas
  • Wash dishes and utensils operating dishwasher
  • Wash pots and pans using 3 compartment sinks
  • Clean and sanitize equipment on daily, weekly, and monthly schedule
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors daily and as needed
  • Sweep and mop dining room daily and as needed
  • Clean spills as they occur
  • Deliver food to designated areas
  • Move heavy objects and equipment
  • Keep food and supply storage areas clean and organized
  • General and heavy cleaning of the kitchen
  • Performs all other duties as requested by the Dietary Manager
