Performs nursing functions and consumer care at a Facility Based Crisis Center including assessment, care, and treatment of clients at the facility; must adhere to standards of care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and RHA. RHA Behavioral Health Services is in need of dedicated and compassionate nurses to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team, to provide nursing care at our facility-based crisis center. In this dynamic role, you will provide assessments and care and treatments for clients in the facility while adhering to standards of care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and RHA. Additionally, you will work with a team providing a high level of patient care. Requirements

  • This position requires an LPN.
  • Two years’ experience working with behavioral health clients is preferred.
  • MSN preferred.
  • Regularly required to lift 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs.
  • Must be able to pull a minimum of 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Required to regularly stand and walk.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Must be able to talk and hear.
  • Active and current LPN Licensure in state of employment
  • 2 years’ experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferred
  • Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to the use of evidence based treatment and preventative methods
  • Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required

Responsibilities

  • Performing Nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed.
  • Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements
  • Implementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with Confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement, attending applicable meetings as necessary
  • Using state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessary
  • Interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
