About The Position

This is a part-time at-will position working fewer than 950 hours per fiscal year and is non-benefited. Under general supervision, the Facility Attendant performs a variety of administrative and program functions in support of a comprehensive Recreation program; develops programs; supervises staff and manages program activities; performs related duties as required. The role includes overseeing the proper use of community recreational facilities, ensuring that all activities and events run smoothly, and providing physical set-up arrangements for classes, meetings, activities, and public and private functions in community buildings.

Requirements

• Completion of the 10th grade or above.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous experience as a building attendant is highly desirable.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid (desirable).
• Basic computer knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the proper use of community recreational facilities.
• Ensure that all activities and events run smoothly.
• Provide physical set-up arrangements for classes, meetings, activities, and public and private functions.
• Perform cleanup tasks such as removing trash, sweeping or mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and restocking supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness in public spaces.
• Handle front desk duties including answering phones and providing public information.
• Address customer inquiries and handle customer service interactions.
• Process payments and maintain accurate records for facility rentals and other transactions.
• Open and close the facility for rentals and recreation classes.
• Collaborate with staff to support the smooth operation of events and activities.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns as a Park Ambassador.
• Operate a city vehicle to navigate different park locations.
