About The Position

The Facility Attendant - Customer Service position at Riverhead Building Supply involves working in the building materials supply area. The role includes answering customer questions, advising on the selection of building materials and supplies, cutting lumber and related materials to the size requested by customers, and assisting customers in loading their purchased materials into their vehicles. Additionally, the attendant will be responsible for marking prices on merchandise according to pricing guides, straightening materials on display to maintain safe and orderly conditions in sales areas, covering exposed materials to prevent weather damage, and counting materials while recording totals on inventory sheets. The position also requires participation in special projects and availability on weekends.

Requirements

• Entry level position.
• Heavier lifting required.
• Knowledge of building materials helpful.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
• Must be available weekends.

Responsibilities

• Answering questions and advising customers in the selection of building materials and supplies.
