About The Position

The Facility and Grounds Keeper is responsible for the upkeep of the roof and grounds areas of the facility throughout all seasons and weather conditions. This role involves performing scheduled maintenance tasks, caring for grounds equipment, and reporting issues to the supervisor, contributing to the overall maintenance and appearance of the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Proficient skills as an industrial mechanic.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to creatively apply experience and common sense to various situations.
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, cleaning, and watering lawn areas of the plant.
• Inspecting, replacing filters, and sanitizing rooftop air handling/HVAC units according to schedules and procedures.
• Removing snow and ice using a vehicle-mounted plow, snow blower, and shovels.
• Cleaning debris and product buildup from the outside perimeter and rooftop areas of the plant.
• Performing basic upkeep and maintenance of grounds equipment including lawn mowers, pickup trucks, and sprinkler systems.
• Reporting all major issues or obstacles to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Working shifts as needed and performing other duties as assigned.
